I used to skate when I was younger so when I dropped off an Uber passenger yesterday right next to the Baxter Street hill in LA, I immediately recognized it and had to take a quick video. This used to be a famous spot to skate down because it’s the steepest, or second steepest, hill/street in California at a 32% grade. I remember going there as a kid but not having the balls to attempt it.
I took the video standing at the top of the hill which is the intersection of Baxter Street and Alvarado. But it’s a short video because the street is really narrow and there were cars approaching that couldn’t get through unless I moved.
It’s a really cool sight to see.
